Excerpt from Hilarity Ensues!

Fenris rolled his shoulders and glared at the offending clock on the wall. Hawke should have been back over an hour ago. He knew that breaking into Prosper's vault was going to be tricky, but she had told them to come after her if she wasn't back in two hours, and it was two hours and she was not back. He reached back to settle a weapon that wasn't there and his brows drew down further into an even more fierce-some scowl.

"[Donkey noise]!" he cursed, then blinked several times in surprise and touched his mouth. "[Discordant sound] [Ringing Chimes]!"

The other two stared at him as if he had gone mad for a moment, then passed a look between them that was obviously them trying to decide if they had gone mad, instead.

"Fenris," Anders said, slowly, and Fenris could feel his magic gathering, as if to test his physical state. "Fenris, are you feeling well?"

"I have no idea what the [Maracas] [Seagulls Cawing] is going on, mage, but whatever it is, I'll blame you for it later. We have to find Hawke now; have you seen the time?"

"My sister is capable enough of getting out of there, and she's always late. You don't think she's going to let her pet elf be worried for a moment, right?" Carver rolled his eyes and shifted his own sword, seeming to smirk for a moment at the fact that he had a weapon and the elf did not.

"Fenris, perhaps you should go lie down for a bit."

"There is nothing wrong with me, abomination. Leave off, or I'll kick your [Harsh Chiming] again." Again, Fenris tried to look at his own mouth.

Anders stared for a minute, and then said, very slowly, "[The Sound of Rain Hitting Dry Ground]."

Carver stared at both of them and then added, "[Exploding Combustion Grenades] [Irate Donkey Noise] [Overeager Privy Usage]."

"Maker's mercy, she's at it again, isn't she?" Fenris said, slumping against the wall now. "Can I not have a moment's peace to worry about Hawke without this madness?"

"Nope," came the unfortunately familiar voice.
